Exporting protected machine from Rapid Recovery to an ESXI host when attempting to boot the server displays a BSOD 0X0000007B.
Post processing of the exported VM does not load the LSI_SAS driver therefor cannot load during Windows startup. The driver must be enabled through a registry edit on the exported VM.
Please follow the below steps to enable the LSI_SAS driver in the registry.
1. Boot into recovery mode > Command Prompt. 2. At the command prompt type regedit. 3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE 4. Click File > Load Hive 5. Navigate to [restored volume]:\Windows\System32\Config (Note:this may not be c:) 6. Choose the SYSTEM file 7. Give the hive a name: temp 8. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\temp\ControlSet001\services 9. Scroll down to LSI_SAS object 10. In the right hand pane, find the entry called 'Start' 11. Change this value to 0. 12. Navigate back up to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\temp (important to have highlighted) 13. Click File >Unload Hive 14. Reboot the machine.
