Virtual Standby Server Does Not Boot with FAT32 Partitions
You have a Windows 2008 or 2008 R2 server that has been exported to a virtual standby. When you try to boot it, it fails to do so. When you examine the disk manager, you see a 2 GB FAT32 partition labeled OS. This partition does not show up in AppAssure as a candidate for backup.
VSS does not support non-NTFS partitions, hence AppAssure cannot back it up. Since the boot files are on this partition, the boot files and configuration are not being backed up.
