The AMPTOOLS.EXE command is located in the following location and should be executed in an elevated command prompt:

debug= [true | false] | Switch true enables debugging on the client machine, while false disables this option. When executing debug=true, the AMPAgent will restart automatically. Available in versions 6.4 and below, as 7.0 and above have debugging by default. |

Read configuration option from amp.conf. Configuration options are:

set | -n |
Set values in amp.conf. set is optional. Set get for config options. By default, restarts AMPAgent.
-n prevents this. Known keys are host and debug. Change host clears host-dependent config. |
clearcache | Clear AMP caches |
killtasks [-f]
| Kill any running AMP subprocesses. With -f, force kill them. |
mkshortcut location= | name= | target= | args= | startin= | comment= |
(Windows-only) Create a shortcut:

shutdown [-f] [-r] | Shutdown system. With -f, shutdown immediately without prompting user. With -r, reboot. |
restart | Stop and start agent. |
start | Start agent if stopped. |
stop | Stop agent if started. |
uninstall all | all-kuid |
Uninstall agent. Leaves configuration and KUID.

retrust | Remove certificate for current server. On next connection, server will be implicitly trusted. Available in versions 7.0 and above. |
resetconf host=x.x.x.x |
This resets the AMPTOOLS configuration in case SSL settings are stuck in place and AMPTOOLS does not seem to get new settings in. The hostname here is set with ip address, but can be hostname or FQDN also. Example: amptools resetconf host=x.x.x.x token=YYY- use this option to reconfigure the AMP Agent to default, with a new AMP Server IP Address setting and the token |
