The KACE SMA requires a few settings to enable access to the database through a third party tool, which will also require access through port 3306. Please follow this quick troubleshooting checklist for failed connection to MySQL.
Go to Settings | Control Panel | Security Settings and check for "Enable database access" and save and restart services. This will enable port 3306 for the appliance.
Go to Settings | Control Panel | General Settings and scroll to Update Reporting User Password. Please update to a known password and use credentials provided to access database.
Test through telnet, nMap, Wireshark or PortQry for Appliance ports listening. Please test following ports: 3306, 443 and 80. Prior to following these instructions, it will be necessary to use a network scanning tool (PortQry or a similar tool).
If tested with PortQry the results should be the following:

If port 3306 is not LISTENING, please review firewall and network permission for port 3306 inbound for KACE Appliance.
After confirming port 3306 is open in network and the Appliance is NOT LISTENING on required ports. Gather screenshots for Failed Connection, KACE SMA Settings and port test results and please contact Quest KACE Technical Support to resolve this issue.
