The value represents the number of lines in the Error Log that match the configured patterns within Spotlight since the last time the Error Log was viewed.
To add a string that Spotlight should look for, go to the Spotlight on SAP ASE menu bar and select:
View -> Options -> Spotlight on SAP ASE
Choose the Error Log option, enter a string to match on the bottom of the form, and then click the Add button.
