Introducing the Summary dashboard

Overview

A summary dashboard aids in the monitoring, analysis, and investigation of Siebel performance.

When you deploy Foglight for Siebel, a monitoring dashboard enables you to view, at a glance, your Siebel performance. This dashboard is a visual representation of the status of the major components of the Siebel agents. Use the dashboard to determine any potential bottlenecks in database performance.

Introducing the Summary dashboard

The Siebel Servers Summary dashboard shows the health of all of the Siebel Server databases being monitored by the Foglight Management Server.

To access the summary dashboard from Foglight, go to Dashboards > SiebelServers Home > Siebel Servers - Summary. The Siebel Application Server(s) Summary opens.

Health of the Siebel Application Server based on the highest severity alert.

Siebel Application server name.

SiebelServer agent instance name.

The name of the physical computer that is hosting the SiebelServer Agent instance.

Number of Fatal severity alarms triggered by this agent instance. The dwell shows the most recent Fatal alarms raised by this agent, sorted by severity. Use the drilldowns to manage the alarms.

Number of Critical severity alarms triggered by this agent instance. The dwell shows the most recent Fatal alarms raised by this agent, sorted by severity. Use the drilldowns to manage the alarms.

Number of Warning severity alarms triggered by this agent instance. The dwell shows the most recent Fatal alarms raised by this agent, sorted by severity. Use the drilldowns to manage the alarms.

Availability of Siebel Application Server. Shows either green or red.

Green indicates that the Siebel Server is:

Total number of interactive Siebel Application Server component tasks that are running.

Total number of Siebel Application Server Component Tasks that are running.

Agent state of the SiebelServer agent instance.
