Have the Workflow approval SMTP Configuration module setup in Office365 with Exchange API and not Basic Authentication, but the emails are not being received and/or not being generated properly. -
Description
Workflow approval SMTP is set up in Office365 with the Exchange API option and the approval emails are not being received or show in the "Draft" folder in the mailbox. The GPOADmin debug logs shows the following lines:"DOMAIN\USERACCOUNT, Information, 1000, UserActionThe following error occurred attempting to retrieve the trustees email address: The input name was found, but the associated output format cannot be found. This can occur if the object does not have all the required attributes..Attemping direct query method., DOMAIN\GPOADMINSVCACCOUNT, Warning, 2013, Debug,System.ApplicationException: The input name was found, but the associated output format cannot be found. Cause
When switching to Exchange API from Basic Authentication in the Office365 SMTP options without clearing the fields, the GPOADmin service will still try to use these settings. -
Resolution
The product team has confirmed that this behavior is a known product defect in 5.15 that will be corrected for the next release. The defect ID for this is VSTS000228027.WORKAROUND:Hit the "Clear" button in the Basic Authentication settings and make sure fields are empty even if the option was disabled, to avoid the STMP configuration conflict within the application. -
