Configuring Job Manager settings

This section includes the following topics:

About Job Manager

The Job Manager process (nvjobmgr) runs on the NetVault Backup Server and manages the execution of a job.

The Schedule Manager starts the Job Manager. A single instance of Job Manager runs for each job until the completion of the job. The Job Manager reports on the job run status and exit status. This process coordinates with the Data Plug-in and fetches the required information from the NetVault Backup Server. It is also responsible for sending drive and media requests to the Media Manager process.

You can modify the Job Manager settings from the Change Settings page.
