ODM Production Licenses FAQs:
The licenses for this product are tied to the email address of the purchaser. If it shows that there are no subscriptions, the following solution covers adding the account that purchased the licenses. No active subscriptions in the On Demand Portal
If additional licenses are purchased and do not show up in ODM once the transaction is completed, click here for more detail.
A production license is reserved when a user is matched or mapped from a file on the Accounts tab. It's not possible to reserve more licenses than are available.
Once user's data is migrated (Account, Mailbox, OneDrive), the reserved license will be consumed.
Reserved licenses can be freed by unmatching. Consumed licenses cannot be freed.
The license used is based on the matching criteria from the accounts tab. If a user consumes a license migrating primary mailbox data it will not consume another for a re-migration or migrating an archive or OneDrive.
License subscriptions are at the Organization level. Multiple projects do not require their own license subscription.
"Mail-Enabled" and "Non-Mail-Enabled" objects will consume a license, as these objects are assumed to be migrated by ODM for other workloads, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
Guest accounts do not consume a license.
ODM AD Production Licenses:
There are no trial licenses options for the Active Directory modules. Reach out to your Quest Account Manager if seed licenses are required for POC testing.
ODM AD Directory Sync requires a license for every object that is migrated, including shared mailboxes even though the ODM T2T portal doesn't use a license for migrating content in a Shared Mailboxes.
