After adding COM+ applications using the Management Console, receive message "COM+ is not correct (4347756)

COM+ applications fail when they are added for monitoring on a 64-bit platform. If a COM+ application is added using the Management Console, the following message appears in the Management Console: COM+ is not correctly installed on the machine. After being enabled for monitoring, COM+ applications may be launched by an incorrect COM surrogate (for example, a 32-bit surrogate for a 64-bit component). This prevents the application from functioning normally.

Disable monitoring of the COM+ application, re-register the COM+ application in Component Services, and then restart.
