"OS name unknown" in the Agent Hosts dashboard for Windows 2008 R2 machines with Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) 5.5.5 installed.
Use the command string below
fglam -Dquest.platform.name=windows-x86_64
when starting up FglAM otherwise "OS name unknown" will appear in the "Agent Hosts" dashboard.
Edit the command file that is starting FglAM to include this.
If FglAM starting as a Windows service, open the Windows Registry and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\FoglightAgentManager
Change key: ImagePath
to
"C:\Quest_Software\Foglight_Agent_Manager\bin\fglam.exe" --manager-start-service -Dquest.platform.name=windows-x86_64
NOTE: Before modifying the Windows Registry, make a backup copy of it!
