After upgrading from a previous version of Foglight 5 to version 5.5.2, lots of entries in the Management Server Log as follows:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.SSSS ERROR [Data-3-thread-26] com.quest.nitro.service.topology.TopologyAdjustmentService - Topology merge rule "foglight-5:ScriptedMergeRule:fa0a078b-f637-4604-a46b-3fac72b6b476:2 datasource=foglight-5:foglight-5" failed to process topology object "foglight-5:Host:null:0 datasource=foglight-5:foglight-5".
com.quest.nitro.service.sl.interfaces.scripting.ScriptAbortException: script1000001: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The 'adjustHostName' script is implemented by com.quest.nitro.service.scripting.hardcoded.AdjustHostNameHardcodedScript
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The 'adjustHostName' script is implemented by com.quest.nitro.service.scripting.hardcoded.AdjustHostNameHardcodedScript
This is caused by a missing file after the upgrade has completed.
1. From command line on the foglight server run the following after copying the file to a local drive on the foglight server:
fglcmd -usr Foglight -pwd Foglight -cmd util:configimport -f c:\ merging-scripts.xml
2. Re run the main installer file such as Foglight-5_5_2-install_windows-x86_64.exe. Just run it and follow prompts to upgrade NOT install.
