CPU Utilization on Exchange 2010 and 2013 hosts rise to 100% periodically due to 'powershell.exe' process(es). These processes can consume around 50% of the CPU every couple of minutes.
This has been identified as a defect with the Exchange cartridge (EXC-647), and is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Exchange cartridge.
WORKAROUND:
Disable the “Quest Remote Command Service” on the respective Exchange host to prevent these powershell calls. However, if this service is disabled, the following collections will be affected:
