When attempting to monitor certain hosts, the FglAM concentrator is experiencing connection issues with the Foglight Management Server. For example, the FglAM reports in and states that it is healthy and running, but occassionally the FglAM host would disappear and all agents hosted on that FglAM itself would enter a broken state. What can be done to resolve this?
High network utilization during the periods that this issue would occur.
Increase the Minimum Polling Interval for the FglAM. Doing so would make the FglAM more tolerant to the "slow" connection. For example, within the fglam.config.xml file, the default value is:
<config:min-polling-interval>5</config:min-polling-interval>
In this situation, it should be set to something higher, for example:
<config:min-polling-interval>10</config:min-polling-interval>
NOTE: Please be aware that there are costs associated with increasing the minimum poling interval, one of which is that agent control will take significantly longer, so the user may experience delays when starting and stopping agents.
