The connection between the agent manager to the database agent timed out causing the database connection in the database dashboard to be n/a

Possible causes can include:

• Messages or command prompts that delaying or interfering with the login to the Unix shell (as Oracle) (e.g. a waiting mail message could be an example)
• Network issues currently limiting or delyaing access to the servers.

1. Navigate to Administration | Agents | Agent Status
2. Select the database agent
3. Click Edit Properties
4. Click Modify the private properties for the agent
5. Increase the OS Connection Timeout from 3000ms to 300000ms (five minutes)
6. Increase the Monitored Connection Timeout from 120000 ms to 300000 ms (five minutes)
7. Save changes
