Command used:
"java" -jar "Foglight_fglcmd/foglight-cmdline-client.jar" -usr <user> -srv <FMSHost> -debug -cmd util:configimport -f policy-new1.xml
Agent properties are stored in MonitoringPolicies as well, as <persistable-config-model> contructs in the XML. We see that’s what they have in
policy-new1.xml.
we are using perl to extract the the persistable model and create an output file that is used as input for the fglcmd command
The queries we are running are noted below.
my $query = "//persistable-config-model/asp/structure/field[paramdata =
'$instance']/ancestor::structure/ancestor::asp/ancestor::persistable-config-model";
my $query2 = "//persistable-config-model/asp/structure/field[paramdata = '$instance']/ancestor::structure/field[\@name =
'$sevthresh{$sevlevel}']/paramdata/text()";
The queries Chad listed in this thread are taken directly from the code we use to parse the xml export from fglcmd. These are xpath queries using
Perl Lib::XML.
After a complete XML export is obtained from fglcmd..
1. The first query
my $query = "//persistable-config-model/asp/structure/field[paramdata =
'$instance']/ancestor::structure/ancestor::asp/ancestor::persistable-config-model";
searches all XML contained within the "persistable-config-model" tags WHERE the instance matches the Oracle instance we are passing in from the
Deploy Tool to have it's threshold changed. If a match is found, it continues to steps 2 and 3..
2. A lookup is performed against the severity integer we are passing in the request where (Example)
2 = Ora_DefaultWarningTS
3 = Ora_DefaultCriticalTS
4 = Ora_DefaultFatalTS
