Unable to add a second metric to a portlet (4256411)

Getting "An unexpected error occurred, please check the application logs" when trying to add a second metric (per drag&drop) to a portlet of a customized dashboard.

Product defect

A patch is available to fix this issue. It can be downloaded from here:

To install this patch:

1. Shut down the Foglight Management Server.
2. Back up FMSHOME/server/default/deploy/foglight.sar in a location outside the FMSHOME directory.
3. Back up FMSHOME/server/default/deploy-foglight/console.war/WEB-INF/lib/wcf-components.jar in a location outside the FMSHOME directory.
4. Back up FMSHOME/server/default/deploy-foglight/console.war/WEB-INF/lib/wcf-core-resources.jar in a location outside the FMSHOME directory.
5. Back up the FMSHOME/cartridge/Core-Dashboards-5_5_5.car cartridge.
6. Back up the following cartridge:
   • Core-ServiceModel-Extensions-UI-5_5_5.car -- if you are installing this patch on a Foglight Management Server 5.5.5.
   • Core-ServiceModel-Extensions-UI-5_5_5_2.car -- if you have previously installed the Foglight 5.5.5.2 patch.
7. Copy the following files and directories included in this patch to their corresponding locations under FMSHOME:
   • server/default/deploy/foglight.sar
   • server/default/deploy-foglight/console.war/WEB-INF/lib/wcf-components.jar
   • server/default/deploy-foglight/console.war/WEB-INF/lib/wcf-core-resources.jar
   • upgrade/cartridge/Core-ServiceModel-Extensions-UI-5_5_5_3.car
   • upgrade/cartridge/Core-Dashboards-5_5_5_3.car
8. Restart the Foglight Management Server.
