It takes minutes to search for hosts under the "Host Model | Hosts" section of the Data Management dashboard.
There were many stale Host objects. Approximately 3000 of the Host objects, out of 4000 total Host objects, had not been updated recently.
If the count of Host objects is much higher than the number of hosts being monitored run the delete stale objects script to delete stale Host objects.
Execute the following steps to check the count of Host objects:
____________________________
1). Navigate to "Administration | Tooling | Script Console".
2) Select the Scripts tab, click the "Add" button, and then paste the following script in the "Enter Script Text" field:
#!Host#.topologyObjects.size()
3) Click the "Run" button at the bottom of the "Run Script" window.

If the count of Host objects is much higher than the number of hosts being monitored execute the following steps to run the delete stale object script:
____________________________
1). Download the delete stale object script. It can be found under KB 62094.
2). Copy the delete-stale-objects.groovy script to the FMS host.
3). Issue the following command from the $FMSHOME/bin directory:
Unix/Linux:
./fglcmd.sh -usr <user> -pwd <password> -cmd script:run -f <path to delete-stale-objects.groovy > Host <age in day>
Windows:
fglcmd -usr <user> -pwd <password> -cmd script:run -f <path to delete-stale-objects.groovy > Host <age in day>
Where <age in days> is the number of days that the object has not been updated within, and <user> and <password> are the credentials used to log into the Foglight Operations console. For example, if the user is "foglight" with a password of "foglight", the script is placed in the $FMSHOME/bin directory, and Host objects that have not been updated in 30 days are to be deleted the command would appear as follows:
./fglcmd.sh -usr foglight -pwd foglight -cmd script:run -f delete-stale-objects.groovy Host 30
