Many changes are occurring in the FileLogMonitorFileGroup topology type.
The output of the find frequent change script contains many entries like the following for the monitoringAgent property of the FileLogMonitorFileGroup object that is changing the most:
Details of recent changes:
+-------------------------+-----------------+--------------+-----------------------------+-----------------------------+
| Timestamp | Property | Change Type | Old Value | New Value |

| 2018-02-20 09:42:58.998 | monitoringAgent | Value Change | SeccondLogMonitor@hostname | FileLogMonitorAgent@hostname |
| 2018-02-20 09:42:49.906 | monitoringAgent | Value Change | FileLogMonitorAgent@hostname | SecondLogMonitor@hostname |
| 2018-02-20 09:38:01.021 | monitoringAgent | Value Change | SecondLogMonitor@hostname | FileLogMonitorAgent@hostname |

Churn in the FileLogMonitorFileGroup can be caused by the following configurations:
A). Using two LogMonitor agents to monitor the same log on the same host with the same Patterns list. This is a case of duplicating monitoring.
B). Using two LogMonitor agents to monitor the same log on the same host with different Patterns lists but the Patterns lists contain an identical entry.
RESOLUTION A: In the case where the LogMonitor agents are using the same Patterns list:
Change the Patterns list used by one the LogMonitor agents so that the agents are using different Patterns lists when monitoring the same log on the same host.
RESOLUTION B: In the case where the LogMonitor agents are using a different Patterns list but there is an identical pattern on each of the lists:
Change the entry that is identical under one of the Patterns lists.
Another possible workaround is to modify the Hosts list used by one of the agents as follows:
- Set the "Host name override" to a value different than the value in the Host field.
- Uncheck the "Collect system ID" box.
