Description

When hitting 404 requests on an instrumented web server, the Foglight Management Server (FMS) log is showing a lot of the following messages:
WARN [EU_Java_Integration_0] com.quest.nitro.eu.extension.breakdown.data.bucket.Bucketizer - Failed to extract information from record.
java.lang.NullPointerException
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Apply the Foglight Cartridge for Application Operations 5.9.6.1 patch. This patch is to limit the number of warnings per collection (by default every 5 minutes) within the FMS log. The main cause of the issue originating from the Java EE side (CAC-687) will be fixed in a future release.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Foglight Cartridge for Java EE.
