RESOLUTION 2
To recreate SQL PI repository:
- On the Database Dashboard, select the agent(s) currently used by the PI repository to disable the PI extensions
- Browse to: Settings | Administration | SQL PI Investigator
- Check/Select the Agents to modify
- Click the [Disable SQL PI] button, and then click [Save changes]
- Navigate to Administration | Agents | Agent Status
- Deactivate the SPI agents installed on the Agent Manager server
- Delete the SPI agents installed on the Agent Manager server
- Remote into the server where the PI repository is located
- Delete or rename the Infobright folder
- Follow the steps in Oracle KB 155493 and SQL Server KB 147658 and 147199 to add the PI monitoring and recreate the PI repository.
NOTE: If a named Windows service account is used by the Foglight Agent Manager located on the PI repository server, please refer to KB 147851 to make adjustments to permissions on Foglight database agent and Infobright folders.
RESOLUTION 3
Follow the recreating+SQL+PI+Repository+Procedure.docx from the Foglight console, then do the steps on SQL PI repository on Linux platform.
1) RDP to the machine were the SQL PI Repository is installed
2) Navigate to the Foglight installation directory | Infobright folder (the installation directory where you installed SQL PI repository)
3) Execute Infobright.stop, in order to stop Infobright processes
4) Validate that there are no left over processes by doing ps -ef |grep ibengine (postgress and bhloader):
a. Open \Foglight\InfoBright\pg_data\postmaster.pid file
b. Note the Infobright process ID (the first line)
c. In the output of ps- ef | grep ibengine (postgress and bhloader), look for the PID in (b). If the PID is there: kill PID number
5) Uninstall Infobright:
6) Under Foglight installation directory | Infobright
7) Run Uninstall (uninst)
