There are several rules which fire if there is a Foglight database problem:
Rule name | Explanation |
---|---|
Catalyst Available Database Connections Check | No database connections available for use by the server. |
Catalyst Database Latency Check | High latency between Foglight database and Foglight server. The rule creates warning alarm when database performance/latency is over 10ms. |
Catalyst Database Maintenance Check | Checks that the nightly database maintenance activities are completing within the configured maintenance window. |
Catalyst Database Query Execution Time Check | Throws a WARNING alert when a sample query against the Foglight database is taking longer than usual, indicating potentially poor database performance. |
Catalyst Database Space Checking | Rule to check whether the Foglight database will be running out of space. |
Catalyst Free Database Space Checking | Rule to check whether the Oracle tablespaces or SQL Server database still have/has enough free space. |
