Descripción

Error below during login or when trying to connect to the database. Issue happens on one database instance only. Other users / machines also get the same error.
ORA-06550: line 36, column 7:
PLS-00302: component ‘DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO’ must be declared
ORA-06550: line 36, column 3:
Also, logging in as SYS, the Schema Browser | Tables tab is empty. All issues all of a sudden just started happening.
Causa

PUBLIC grant access has been removed from the SYS.DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO package and/or other important SYS owned packages.
Resolución

Access privileges to the SYS owned packages has been modified i.e. PUBLIC access has been removed by someone or accidentally. Please contact Oracle Support for further assistance on this issue as the resolution may not be as simple as undoing the modifications made on the privileges.
