After using SQL Scanner to scan for SQL, how do you send the scanned statements to Tuning for optimization?
Conflicts in the backend between SQL Tuning and SQL Analyzer has forced development to leave this option out of Toad for Oracle's SQL Tuning. This is applies to both Toad for Oracle and Toad for SQL Server.
WORKAROUND:
Copy and paste the SQL statement from the SQL Scanner/SQL Inspector to the SQL Optimizer manually.
STATUS:
Enhancement request has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of SQL Tuning.
This option is only available in Quest Centrals SQL Tuning and Scanner.
