About this release

Quest NetVault Plug‑in for MySQL 13.2 is a minor release, with enhanced features and functionality designed specifically for users of MySQL Server 8.0 and later, and MariaDB Server 10 and later. For complete product documentation, visit https://support.quest.com/technical-documents.

NOTE: Plug‑in for MySQL 13.2 is compatible with MySQL Server 8.0 and later and MariaDB Server 10 and later, and is available for Linux servers.
NOTE: Plug‑in for MySQL 13.2 is available for 64-bit Linux distributions, and Windows. For other platforms, use Plug‑in for MySQL 12.2.

Enhancements

The following is a list of enhancements implemented in NetVault Plug‑in for MySQL 13.2.

Added support for Mariadb-backup as a new backup method. Support applies when running MariaDB Community Server. MariaDB Enterprise Server is not currently supported with Plug-in for MySQL.

Added support for MySQL Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).

Addressed an issue that caused restores of Entire Databases Copy Backups to fails with error mysql_real_query failed: [1064][You have an error in your SQL syntax.

DNMYSQL-419

With MySQL 8 and later, tables innodb_index_stats and innodb_table_stats from database 'mysql' could be skipped while restoring the 'mysql' database in an online MySQL instance, otherwise restore could fail.

DNMYSQL-489

Corrected an issue that affected MariaDB Server restores, and resulted in a failure restoring the system mysql.transaction_registry table.
