Upgrade Foglight Cost Director

The latest version of Foglight Cost Director is 7.1.0.

Foglight Cost Director 7.1.0 requires Management Server version 7.1.0 or Foglight Evolve 7.1.0. It also requires Foglight for VMware Lite version 7.1.0 and Foglight for Hyper-V Lite version 7.1.0.

To upgrade Foglight Cost Director to the latest version:

Download the following packages from Quest Support Portal:

Foglight Cost Director version 7.1.0 (which includes the OptimizerAutomation-7_1_0.car, Virtual-VMware-Lite-7_1_0.car, CommonAnalytics-7_1_0.car, Virtual-HyperV-Lite-7_1_0.car, Cost-Director-7_1_0.car, and Cost-Director-Lite-7_1_0 cartridge files)

On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the following cartridge files. Do not remove the older version of these cartridges. Install the new versions over the older versions. The sequence of cartridge installation is important because of their dependencies. For cartridge installation instructions, see “Installing Foglight cartridges” in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.

Upgrade Foglight Cloud Migration

The latest version of Foglight Cloud Migration is 7.1.0.

Foglight Cloud Migration 7.1.0 requires Management Server version 5.9.8 (or later), or Foglight Evolve 9.3 (or later). It also requires Foglight for VMware Lite version 7.1.0 and Foglight for Hyper-V Lite version 7.1.0.

To upgrade Foglight Cloud Migration to the latest version:

The latest version of Quest Protect is 7.1.0.

Quest Protect 7.1.0 requires Management Server version 7.1.0 or Foglight Evolve 7.1.0.

Upgrade Foglight for vCloud Director

The latest version of Foglight for vCloud Director is 7.1.0.

Foglight for vCloud Director 7.1.0 requires Management Server version 7.1.0 or Foglight Evolve 7.1.0.

To upgrade Foglight for vCloud Director to the latest version:

Download the vCloud-Director-7_1_0.car package from Quest Support Portal.

Navigate to the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, and install the vCloud-Director-7_1_0.car file.

On the Agent Status dashboard, click Deploy Agent Package to deploy the VCloudDirectorAgent package to desired hosts.

On the vCloud Environment dashboard, on the Administration tab, create vCloud Director agent instances, and edit their properties, as required.

Activate the newly created vCloud Director agent instances, and start their data collection.
