Inspect SGA

About Inspect SGA

Use Inspect SGA to capture, view, and analyze executed and running SQL statements from Oracle's System Global Area (SGA). You can specify the criteria to determine the SQL statements and execution statistics Inspect SGA retrieves from the SGA. Inspect SGA also schedules the date and time to collect information from the SGA. Since information in the SGA is not static, Inspect SGA stores the SQL statements and execution statistics on your computer for review.

Once Inspect SGA collects information from the SGA, you can use Scan SQL to analyze and classify SQL statements captured. You can then send SQL statements Scan SQL classifies as problematic or complex to Optimize SQL or Batch Optimize SQL for optimization.
