Toad Data Point 6.1.2 - Release Notes

Advanced Analytics

Advanced Analytics

Toad's Advanced Analytics feature allows you to perform advanced, in-database analysis of your data using a repository of sophisticated functions to perform predictive modeling and data mining. These Fuzzy Logix functions are part of the embedded Local Storage database. To use these functions, you must first copy the data to the Local Storage database.

Note: This feature is only available in the Toad Data Point Professional Edition with Analytics.

To use Advanced Analytics

  1. You must first copy to Local Storage all data on which you want to use Advanced Analytics. Save Data to Local Storage

  2. If you are not already connected, connect to the database in Local Storage where your data is stored.

  3. Use the Editor or the Query Builder to compose or build statements using the Advanced Analytics functions. These functions are available through code completion in the Editor or when building a Where condition or calculated column in the Query Builder (with a Local Storage connection).

To access Advanced Analytics through the Code Snippets window

  1. In the Connection or Navigation Manager, open a Local Storage connection.
  2. From the main menu select View | Code Snippets to open the Code Snippets window.
  3. Expand the SQL (Local Storage) node to reveal the Advanced Analytics folder. Open the folder and select from the Advanced Analytics functions.
  4. Double-click a function or drag it to an Editor window to use the function in a SQL statement. Insert Code Snippets

Advanced Analytics Functions

Tip: You can double-click an Advanced Analytics function in the Code Snippets window to add the function to an active open Editor window. If the active window isn't an Editor window, this action opens a new Editor window containing the function.
