Cluster views

A cluster is a group of individual computers that act like a single system enabling the availability of a service or application to client computers in the network. Foglight for Exchange provides metrics about the following high availability frameworks:

The following views are available to monitor the health of the Exchange clusters in your environment.

Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view

The Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view displays a cluster tile for the selected cluster that lists the active and passive nodes or databases included in the selected cluster. In addition to the cluster tile, this view displays more detailed environment information about the Exchange cluster.

Foglight for Exchange supports three types of clusters (SCC, CCR, and DAG). The following illustration shows the Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view for a DAG cluster.

From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Environment.

The cluster tile displays the following information:

In addition to the cluster tile, the following embedded views are displayed:

Exchange Clusters Explorer Summary (All Clusters) view

The Exchange Clusters Explorer Summary (All Clusters) view displays detailed resource metrics and information about the Exchange clusters being monitored.

From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.

The following embedded views are displayed:

The Exchange Cluster Explorer Summary view displays more detailed resource metrics and information about the selected Exchange cluster.

From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.

Select the Summary navigation tab.
NOTE: You can also click the view in Explorer link on that cluster’s Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view to display this view.
