You can use the Alter Authentication dialog to perform the following tasks:
To change Shared key password—If the password changed for the shared account in the remote data source, you must also change the password for the Shared key.
Note: The owner of an object and users with Manage privileges can modify a data object's Shared (public) key.
To change authentication from personal to Shared (views)—You can change the type of key applied to a view from personal to Shared. A view can have only one type of key applied at a time.
Note: The owner of an object and users with Manage privileges can change the type of Authentication key.
To change authentication from Shared to personal (views)—You can change the type of key applied to a view from Shared to personal. A view can have only one type of key applied at a time.

To set your personal Authentication key
Enter your user name and password for the remote data source. If the object currently has a Shared key, the information for the default account is already entered.

To change a personal or Shared key password
Apply this to other view objects in the same datasource that need authentication—(Personal key only) If your password changed for a remote data source, you must also change the password in your personal authentication keys. If you are using the Alter Authentication dialog to change a personal authentication key password, select this option to apply the change to all applicable views.
(Views) To change authentication from personal to Shared
In the Alter Authentication dialog, select Share authentication.
