Technical Support Resources

Technical support is available to Quest customers with a valid maintenance contract and customers who have trial versions. You can access the Quest Support Portal at https://support.quest.com.

The Support Portal provides self-help tools you can use to solve problems quickly and independently, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Support Portal enables you to:

  • View Knowledge Base articles
  • Sign up for product notifications

If you registered at the time of installation and you no longer wish to receive monthly newsletters, you may “opt out” of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by updating your preferences here: http://quest.com/unsubscribe.

What data is being collected?

When you register you must supply your email address and job role. You may also provide your name and phone number but this is not required. All this information will be stored locally and also be sent to Quest Software in Aliso Viejo, California. Whether or not you choose to register, we will collect your license number for tracking purposes.

Where the data will be stored

All the submitted data will be stored locally on the computer where you have installed the software and in servers located at the Aliso Viejo, California facility in the United States.

How the data will be used

The information that we collect will help Quest Software to deliver a more consistent and personalized customer support and marketing experience. For example, we may use your information to:

  • Communicate with you about products and services
  • Provide and improve service and support
  • Update you on new services and benefits
  • Provide personalized promotional offers
  • Select content to be communicated to you
  • Allow you to participate in contests and surveys
  • Contact you regarding Quest products or services that we think will be useful to you

How to operate the product without participating

The installation and operation of this product is not impacted by whether or not you register. You may install any product and all the functionality provided by your license will be available.

 

Product Improvement Program

To prioritize enhancements in future releases, Benchmark Factory collects data about the use of its different features, and periodically, this data is communicated back to us. Initially, this usage data includes an IP address. Upon its receipt at a temporary server in the U.S.A., the IP address is removed, and then the anonymous data is aggregated before it is sent to our servers in California. Our product team analyzes the aggregated data to understand our user community’s preferences and common practices. This analysis influences our future releases.
