Is there a way to grant authorities on the use of spotlight?
Either granting a user with SYSADM, or SYSMAINT, or SYSCTRL or nothing. If nothing please read below notes:
"DB2 Snapshot NOAUTH
With DB2 Version 8 and later releases, users who do not have SYSADM, SYSMAINT, or SYSCTRL authority can access DB2 snapshot data.
To allow access to the snapshot data, the DB2_SNAPSHOT_NOAUTH parameter must be activated. A user with appropriate authority (SYSADM, SYSMAINT, or SYSCTRL) issues the following command and restarts DB2:
db2set DB2_SNAPSHOT_NOAUTH=on
Note: Issuing this command causes DB2 to not verify the privileges of the current user when one of the snapshot functions is accessed.
With this authority some of the Spotlight data and functions will be unavailable to the user.
For example, monitor switches cannot be changed, and no data is returned for storage use and tablespaces. Various other sub-drill downs could also be unavailable, depending on the settings in your particular work environment."
It is customer's choice to control his/her environment.
