Renamed folders and files are duplicated instead of purged after Synchronization

After running a copy job to “Synchronize Target Contents With Source” (General Options I tab in the Secure Copy console) the expected behavior is that files/folders on the source share that have been renamed will be synchronized/purged on the target. Instead, the file or folder exists on the target with both the old name and new name.
