Description:
You have a library or autoloader configured, but do not have a drive configured in the library.
Symptoms:
Error indicating ‘no suitable drive’
1. Go to device management in NetVault
2. Right click on your library and select remove.
3. At the top of the device management window, click on add, and then select 'add library'
4. Double click on the computer you have the library on.
5. Double click on the library that should be listed under Robotic Libraries. A picture of your library should appear in the window on the right side of this window, when it is properly selected.
6. Click on the Drive Selection Tab
7. Double click on the computer you have the library on.
8. Double click on the drive you have in your library. A picture of the drive you have in your library should appear in the window on the right side of this window, when it is properly selected.
9. If you only have one drive, go to step 10.
In libraries with more than one drive you must select the drive bay on the right side of the window for each additional drive, then double click on the drive that is in the drive bay selected. i.e. 2 of 2. Warning: Improper drive to drive bay configuration will cause tapes to be moved to the wrong drives, and drive failure when NetVault tries to move a tape from a drive to a slot.
10. Click on the save button in the upper left hand side of the window.
