If the Device Scope feature is in use within a role (using labels), when a user assigned to that role visits Inventory | Devices, there is a View By option of 'My Items'. When using the option to View By | My Items and attempting to search devices, an error will be displayed: "There was an error retrieving the data for this page. Please refresh the page. If the error persists, try resetting the default page layout."
Note: The error: "There was an error retrieving the data for this page." is a common error and may occur for many different reasons. This article is meant to address only one possible reason this error may exist immediately after completing a search. For more possible information on this situation, please review the Server Error logs after receiving the error (Settings | Logs | Server Errors) or contact technical support for assistance.
To work-around this situation while it is reviewed, please change the view to All Items before searching the device list.
Note: If the "My Items" view does not exist, the currently logged in user is not in a role utilizing spcific Device Scope labels.
