Groupwise Migrator for Exchange's (GME) Set Forwarding function has been used to route mail to a migration domain of ex.domain.com. Unfortunately these addresses are missing from the target Mailbox enabled users, causing mail routing to fail between Groupwise (GW) and Exchange.
If contacts were not provisioned using Microsoft's GW connector or by using GME or NDS migrator functions the desired target proxyAddresses may not be included on MailBox enabled user accounts which will break mail routing if forwarding is set from Groupwise to Exchange.
It's possible to add the target forwarded address by using GME's AD Object Merge to set an proxy address. This is achieved by completing the TargetAlias column of the UserstoMerge.CSV for each user and then by running the adobjmerge.exe to add these addresses.
Using the Recipient Policy/Email Address Policies in Exchange to add alias email accounts which may be a preferred approach to using the adobjmerge function of GME for this purpose.
