On the launch of Toad for DB2, the error "Toad did not find a default DB2 client" is given. Toad will continue to open after clicking OK on this message, but there may be further issues connecting to the database.
Toad for DB2 does not include an IBM DB2 Client.
Users will need to install an IBM DB2 Client separately, and this may need to be set as "default" within Toad (Options | Database | DB2 ).
Contact your system administrator or DBA administrator and ask for the recommended IBM DB2 client: for your environment.
NOTE: Please ensure you install it with the highest Administrator Rights (in both the local PC and your network domain). Right-Click the installer file and choose "Run as Administrator". If you do not have it or if you are unsure, please have your IT or Helpdesk people install it for you.
