When trying to run a scheduled automated task, Toad will error out with a generic "Toad Data Point has stopped working" error, and the jobs and all subsequent jobs will not run.
The jobs can be created and scheduled without any issue. But when it runs, it errors out.
The event viewer points to a faulting clr.dll
This is an issue with .NET 4.0 and Toad Data Point 3.3.
This is not an issue in Toad Data Point 3.2.
WORKAROUND:
Please upgrade to .NET 4.5.
Important Note: .NET 4.5 has a conflict with SQL Server native connections. If using .NET 4.5 with TDP to workaround the scheduled automation issue, please be aware that you may run into a connection error when trying to connect to SQL Server natively. Workarount for this is to connect as ODBC.
