Custom Topology - Scoping query is invalid: Unknown root type

Cause 1

The topology type cache has somehow gotten out of sync. It is uncertain what happened, but it could have been due to some enable/disable activity on that cartridge.

Workaround 1

• Go to: Administration | Cartridges | Cartridge Inventory
  • Deactivate and Reactivate custom cartridge

Workaround 2

• Restart the FMS

Workaround 3

• Run the attached script for the solution which forces an update on that toplogy type cache so that the Topology Service refreshes the cached information
