Deleted VMWare objects still getting collected in Foglight (4379769)

A particular object like the datastore was deleted on the source vCenter.

However, this unused, unwanted or stale object was still showing in the VMWare dashboard and also getting collected again even after removing its references via script console.

Deleted object metrics were cached in the agent manager which were being uploaded to the FMS.

• Under whichever vCenter this datastores falls in, deactivate that VMware agent in Foglight.
• Next, delete the cache of the agent manager server on which this VMware agent is running. This step will require fglam stop/start which will also stop all other agents running on that agent manager server and may raise alarms.

Stop the FglAM service/daemon.

Delete all files inside the cache directory: 
$FglAM_Home/state/default/cache

•  With the agent manager service stopped, go to object cleanup in the FMS console and delete that datastore. For example:

• Start the FglAM service/daemon back again. Check and confirm if starting the agent manager also activates that VMWare agent as well. If not, manually activate it.
