How to generate and download a diagnostic bundle on a DR-Series system (4042025)

Generating a new log bundle using the DR Web Interface

• In the left navigation menu, click Support > Diagnostics
  
  

• Click on the upper right corner of the page, then click
  
  

• In the Select Diagnostics Type drop-down list, select type requested by support. Then click
  

• To verify that a new diagnostics log file is being generated, check the status of the diagnostics log file on the Diagnostics page. The status will show
  
  

Generating a new log bundle using the Command Line Interface

• Connect to the DR using a terminal emulator (e.g. Putty) on SSH

• Log in with the administrator account

• Run one of the following commands to generate the diagnostic bundle requested by support

• BASIC: diagnostics --collect

• DSET: diagnostics --collect --dset

• ALL(BASIC+DSET): diagnostics --collect --all

• TCP DUMP: diagnostics --collect --tcpdump

Output example:

Downloading a diagnostic log bundle

• Log into the web interface

• In the left navigation menu, click Support > Diagnostics. The Diagnostics page will be displayed, which lists all current diagnostics log files for the system

• In the list, select the diagnostics log file you want to download, and click
  
  

• Download and save the file as needed
