Black screen on DL after BIOS update (4039855)

After running a BIOS update on a DL and rebooting, the Appliance boot to a black screen and does not progress from there. The only way to look into the issue is to connect to the DL by iDRAC. Looking at Overview \ Server \ Logs you will see this is due to a BIOS halt:

• A PCIe link training failure is observed in NULL and the link is disabled. The system has halted.
• CPU Exception Type 0x03: Breakpoint (Software).
• System BIOS has halted.

Drain Sleep Power from the Appliance:

1. Power off the Appliance.
2. Remove all power connections to the Appliance.
3. Let sit for 5 minutes.
4. Reconnect power to the Appliance.
5. Start the Appliance.
6. DL should now boot. You will need to re-run the BIOS update.
