How To: Exclude objects (MailInDB) from being synchronized by Directory Connector. (4319372)

Using Coexistence Manager for Notes (CMN) the Directory Connector syncs the Mail-In Database to Active Directory as a Contact, even though the setting 'Allow foreign directory synchronization' is set to No.

Currently Mail-in Database, when set to 'Allow foreign directory sync' is set to No CMN doesn't adhere to the setting.

This is a defect and will be fixed in a future release of CMN.

WORKAROUND

Use the following steps to exclude the name of the Domino Mail-In database within the CMN Directory Connector.

1. Edit the Advanced Settings of the Connector
2. In the Scope Rules for the connector add the following:
   • Give it a Name
   • Chose the Type of Attribute to want to locate
   • Chose the Attribute
   • Chose the Operand, in this case "is Not"
   • Enter the value of the SMTP address.
   • Repeat this for the Mail-in databases you want to exclude.
3. Save and Close the section
4. Save and Activate the Connector
5. Run the Connector.

Running the Directory Connector again for the Mail-In databases, the excluded objects should no longer appear in the AD.
