Caught exception the specified LDAP directory service cannot be contacted (4212291)

You may see the following LDAP error:

Caught exception the specified LDAP directory service cannot be contacted

The LDAP Server is unavailable.

Name resolution of the Domino server.

1- Verify LDAP server is enabled and running on the Domino server

2- Verify source LDAP port is set to 389

2- On the screen where you specifiy Domino server; use FQDN of Domino server:

• Server: Dom.Quest.Local

3- On the screen where you specify Username; use Username with NO NotesDomain:

• Username: Domino Administrator

4- Save and activate the connector

5- Perform another sync process
