Assuming the collected share permissions are for the C: Drive, discoveries like this could be inefficient especially if you are including other shares on the C: drive as the NTFS discovery will retrieve the same information once for the share and then again for the C: drive. The discovery runs for a long time gathering the same information and the database grows large. When reports are generated they are large and filled with the same data for C: drive and any shares on C: drive.
If you would like to know what is on the C: drive and who has permission, you should instead create a discovery for the box and not select shares and hidden shares but specifically add the C: drive (C$) to the Include. This will make the discovery run faster and not gather the same info over and over. Like this:
