Users within nested groups within the default Enterprise Reporter groups cannot log in to the ER server. -
Description
When using a group within the Enterprise Reporter default groups to control access, users within the nested groups cannot log in to the ER server.
Users directly in the groups can log in and have appropriate levels of permissions.

Cause
This can happen when the nested groups are domain local groups from another domain.
The groups SIDs cannot be translated and stored properly in the database. -
Resolution
Upgrading to Enterprise Reporter version 3.2 or higher should resolve this issue.
This version changes the group SID information to an XML file on the Enterprise Reporter server, instead of storing them in the database.
These SIDs are added when the Database configuration wizard is run. -
