VM snapshot files can potentially grow as large as the base virtual disk size. This can eventually fill up the vmfs datastore volume, leading to a VM crash.
If a certain VM virtual disk is not supposed to be included on a backup job, the VM virtual disk can be set to independent, therefore no snapshot file will be created for that disk when the vRanger backup runs.
Note: Please be aware that independent disk backups are not supported by VMware.
