Object Reference not set to an instace of an object (4033317)

Backup failed immediately with error "Object not set to an instance of an object." in vRanger 6.0.2.

Additional orpaned VM files may exist in the VM directory. In some instances there may be additional VMDK & snapshot files.

NOTE: If you are not comfortable in working with VM files please do not attempt the following.

Move the orphaned files into another directory.

• Verify the files that are currently in use.
• Create a temporary folder within the vm folder
• Move all orhaned files into the temporary directory.

Re-run the vRanger task.

If the vRanger task is successful and the VM is running properly, it is recommended that you keep the orphaned files until you are certain they are not needed.
