Using Toad for SQL Server against a SQL Server 2000 database.
I clicked on the drop index icon in the Object Details | Indexes tab. This caused a dialog box to pop up that said:
"For DROP INDEX, you must give both the table and the index name, in the form tablename.indexname."

The script generated by TSS is:

DROP INDEX [INDEX_NAME] ON [DATABASE].[dbo].[TABLE];

I modified it as follows and ran it successfully in an edit window:

DROP INDEX [TABLE].[INDEX_NAME] ON [DATABASE].[dbo].[TABLE];

TSS needs to create index drop scripts that include the table name.
Lösung

WORKAROUND
Amend the script accordingly to add the table name prefix to the index
STATUS
Waiting for fix in a future release of Toad for SQL Server.
