Appendix: Upgrade Checklist

The following checklist, combined with the previous sections of this document, will guide you through the entire upgrade process. Make a copy of this checklist for each database you will be upgrading.

Upgrade Checklist

Verify that your Stat® production database is version 5.7.x, 5.8.x, 6.0.x, 6.1.x, 6.2.x or 6.3.x.

De-install or back up old version of Stat.

Create an exact copy of your Stat production database.

Run the appropriate upgrade scripts against the database to be upgraded.

Run PsConvert utility (Ignore if using EBS or if your current version in Stat 6.3.x)

Install the Stat Windows® Client.

Use the INI Editor to create a new record for that database.

Update the PeopleSoft® Object Mover instructions (PeopleSoft users only).

Upgrade the Stat Central Agent.

Upgrade the Stat Oracle Agent (Oracle E-Business Suite users only).

Verify the installation directories modified during the upgrade.

Assign new user class rights.

Implement required enhancements and optional enhancements as needed.

Upgrade the original Stat production database.
15
Install Windows Client on any remaining workstations.
